Sadly because of the size of the apartment and our roomate already having two kittens, I am unable to take my amazing bunny Dimples with me. He is looking for a great family that will love him just as much as I do. He's very sweet and loves to get pet and brushed!
My cell is 503. 957. 8268.
If you are around my area give me a call, I live across from the Clackamas Town Center. I also have a good sized cage that is Dimples, I am trying to sell it though because the cage did cost a bit. I would love if Dimples was able to find a new home and go along with his cage as well, but I am flexible.

I have a bunny, age 9, who needs a new home. I'm making a long-distance move, and don't want to put him thru the stress of moving with me. I don't want to put him up for adoption in a shelter, I prefer to find him a home with someone who is familiar with the needs of an older rabbit. Because of his age, he needs some help with his grooming and with keeping himself clean, which means occasional baths. He's in good health otherwise, and still very much enjoys his veggies, his hay, and especially treats ! and he loves his toys.
We've been together since he was 11 weeks old and I'm worried about how he will adapt to a new home. I always thought that he would make a great candidate for a bonding, so if you have a bunny who needs a mate, my little guy just might be a good choice. He was neutered when he was young, so no worries about putting him with a little girl. And I think that being bonded would help him with the transition to someone new as well.
He's a mixed breed -- his mom was a Satin, his dad was a Dwarf Hotot. He's all black except for a tiny white spot on his chin and on one toe on his right front foot. He's a smaller bunny -- he weighs about 6.5 pounds.
He's litter-trained, though with age, his habits are not as good as they once were.
He loves to be petted, and will tolerate being held, but only for a limited time. He's not really the cuddly type, but he's very loving in his own way. Because he trusts me, I can do anything to him and he's very good about the baths and having his nails clipped. It may take him time to adjust to someone else doing those things for him, but he's pretty laid-back overall. He has a "been there, done that" sort of attitude. He's a good boy.
Of great importance to me is that he live INDOORS. He's never lived in a cage, he has his own area in my apartment, and I would like to see him continue to live in that manner, so if you have a "bunny-proofed" room, that would be excellent !

Most importantly, we live in the Boston suburbs (about 25-30 miles west of the city). If you would like to meet my boy, or know someone who would be interested in him, please get in touch.

Thanks!

In Houston: Sad to have to put our bun buns up for adoption :(

Hello,

We are very sad to have to split up our two pet bunnies, but they are starting to viciously fight with each other and because we live in a smaller apartment it is very hard to keep them separated without excluding one. We live in Houston and are looking for a new home for both of the bunnies.[/align]

We got Santana about 14 months ago. My Fiance works at Petco and someone brought her in and put her up for adoption. We took her under our wing and absolutely loved her. She is very shy and does not like much attention. She likes to be left alone for the most part, but will venture around the house on her own. She gets scared easily though. She has not been spayed yet, but is very healthy. We have brought her in for check ups twice within the last year. We unfortunately do not know how old Santana is, as the family just dropped her off and did not provide much information.

About 6 months after we got Santana we took in another bunny, named Pancakes. She is very outgoing and lively. She enjoys being pet and loves attention. Pancakes has been spayed and is also in great health. She is just over one year old. One of Pancake's eyes did not fully develop and so a layer of the eye did not fully pull back. You can only notice this if you look very closely, but because of this it is much more prone to getting hairs and gunk in it. We have not had an issue lately with her, but we do have medicine we can give you that numbs her eye so you can get the gunk out with a Q-tip. It is a very easy process once the eye is numb. The medicine costs $15 a bottle and you only need one drop each time you use it... so you probably would end up buying a bottle a year - maybe even less than that.

The bunnies got along very well in the beginning, but soon began fighting and nearly killing each other. Recently it has gotten much, much worse. They both have cages, so I put Santana in her cage and let Pancakes wander around the apartment freely. Well, for the first time ever they tried biting each other and fighting through the cage. It is not only stressing the bunnies out, but I we are no longer enjoying them like we used to.

Both bunnies are potty and house trained. We are looking for a very good home for them to go to. Currently they are never confined to their cages and are free to roam around their rooms day and night. We have our apartment bunny proof and all cords are hidden. This is the only kind of home we are open to them going to, so if this is not an option for you, please do not contact us. We prefer someone who has owned bunnies in the past and feeds them high quality foods, as we do. We are willing to wait until we find the right person, because we truly love these bunnies so much.

Because Santana is not spayed, we are looking for an adoption fee of $20. We are asking $40 dollars for Pancakes because she is already spayed. The bunnies will include the their cages and all of our bunny supplies (we have two of most things). We are willing to negotiate on the prices, but we are hesitant to label them FREE as we do not want them to just be fed to someone's other pets or be treated badly. Also, we obviously want each bunny to go to a separate home.

Please contact us if you would like us to send you pictures of the bunnies, or with any other questions, or if you are interested in meeting the bunnies! They are so fun, they just don't get along together anymore unfortunately.
I do not know what breed he is, since I do not know much about rabbits. He is mostly white, with dark ears and a dark nose. He also has red eyes. He is litter trained and very loving. He does chew on things but only when he gets tired of chewing on his old toys. Replacing the toys usually makes him stop. I am in the South Texas area. Please contact me if you know anyone or are someone who can take good care of Rambo or if you have any questions.

My book Bad Hare Days, (John Fitzgerald, Olympia Publishers) a memoir in which I recount the ups and downs and sometimes daunting challenges of campaigning for the protection of hares and rabbits from bloodsports is making waves...Not surprisingly, many animal welfare/protection groups and individual campaigners identify with the literally hair-raising experiences I describe...the joys and sorrows, the small triumphs and inevitable setbacks on the "campaign trail".

The 400-page book, according to some reviewers, reads "like a thriller". It wasn't my intention to write a thriller but I appreciate that unexpected compliment.

Supporters of hare coursing and other such "sports" are less happy with the book, and of course I respect their opinions! Some of them are furious, and they are entitled to that response.

I hope the book will give encouragement to animal lovers everywhere, but especially to champions of those furry friends of ours, the hare and the rabbit, two of the gentlest and most beautiful creatures that grace our natural environment.

The book can be acquired from Borders UK, Waterstone UK, Amazon USA, among other outlets, or your local library will order it for you. I recommend approaching your library, because when a library acquires it, the book's message will reach more people.
