room mates or not?
when i was young i raised new zealands for show, i had about 6 in one large cage. i do not remember them ever fighting and they were all males. We recently purchased two baby male mini lops as pets. now i am concerned that they wont be able to stay together. i have been reading online that they should be separated because they will fight. is this true? even if they are litter mates?

RE: room mates or not?
I never had 2 males. Just a male and female. Did you ask a vet? I would think they'd have an easier time living together if they were neutered.

RE: room mates or not?
Yes, they will fight. Rabbits are very territorial no matter if they are both bucks or both does. I can't speak for rabbits that are neutered/ spayed as we raise and show ours.
But, in the past if we left the same sex littermates together a little too long they would start fighting. Hope this helps you out. Good Luck, Pat http://www.carrollshalfpints.weebly.com |
