rabbit dies out of a pair of sisters

Can any one give me information on what to expect when one of a pair of rabbit (sisters) passing away?

Recently the more domanate rabbit passed away leaving the other. In the last week she has become angry and tends to go for you when you reach into the cage. I have put in to adopt a male rabbit from the RSPCA, but am now worried she will be unsuitable to pair up. Or is she just missing her sister?
