Our First Show
Hey All,
My hubby and I went to our first rabbit show this past Saturday. We loved it! One of the chocolate bunnies we sold in January was shown by it\'s owner. Although he didn\'t place, he had some nice remarks made about him by the judge, so I was happy with that. We spent the day intently watching, asking questions and browsing the for sale rabbits. We bought a nice red Mini Rex doe to help us with our Tri colored lines. You can see her on our website. Whimsical Warren There is another show coming up on March 31st so we have been told, but we haven\'t been abole to find any info on it. As well as a show coming up the 14th of April we already have plans on attending. So I guess you could say the bug has bitten! Not sure if I will take any of our rabbits at this point. Mainly because they are usually going through such a heavy shed of their winter coat during that time, so I don\'t think they would be at their best at all. We\'ll see. On a side note, I sold my rainbow litter of Mini Rex, all but the blue/fawn doe. I just love this rabbits coloring. She can be seen now on our rabbits page as well on the website. I have also bought a couple of blk/orange Tri bunnies recently. I have two more Tri babies to bring home from the breeder next month and then we will be done adding rabbits to our little rabbitry for a while. They are much lighter marked then the first two and I\'m really excited to be getting them! Anyhow, it has been a while since I stopped in and posted, wanted to say hi to everyone and let you know how much we are into the rabbit habit these days!

RE: Our First Show
Glad you hear you had such a great time! Rabbit shows are really a lot of fun. Now we just have to get Tony to go to one and show his beautiful mini rex and especially his broken netherland dwarfs. They are really nice! Looks like you are building a nice little warren of tricolors. It will be fun to have another tri breeder around!

RE: Our First Show
Glad to hear that you enjoyed your first show. We have still only shown at 4H shows but my children are going to finally show at an ARBA show in April. It seems a little scary, but we\'ve been told that is the best way to get a good idea on the show quality of our rabbits so I guess we\'re going to go. Next show that you attend, make sure you take some of your rabbits. It will at least be a good learning experience even if the rabbits don\'t place well.

RE: Our First Show
Aren\'t shows fun??? My daughter and I had such a fun time at the one show we went to -I wish they weren\'t so darn far away!
Not sure if we\'ll show at the shows but we\'re planning on putting them all in the open class this year at the state fair. The 4H is a joke at the county level -I\'m competing against myself. ![]() I wish everyone the best of luck in showing -and shopping! (Thats half the fun at the shows!)
