Litter training
I am interested in litter training my rabbit, but I need some help. My rabbit pees right beside the litter pan and continues to poop anywhere he wants. I do not know what to do. any advice? : )

RE: Litter training
Do you have the litter pan in the cage? What is in the litter pan? Somewhere I read that if you put their hay in the litter box it attracts them to it. Of course you'd have to change the hay more often. I do it and change it twice a day. As for pooping wherever he wants, is he neutered? My last rabbit would leave a trail as he hopped, until he got fixed. Then he only went in his cage and had his favorite spots in his cage. Neutering definitely helped and it's healthier for them too.

RE: Litter training
Hey AGAIN grey!!! its Melissa.
here is how you litter train. you get a litter box, put hay in it scoop up some of its droppings (poop) from its cage, put the droppings into the litter pan, and wait. your rabbit will notice his or her on droppings in the litter box and will think that is where he or she goes to the bathroom at all times! it is as SIMPLE as that!! it worked for my rabbit Missy. |

RE: Litter training
litter training isn't easy as you think. you need time and patience to litter train your rabbit. some rabbit is fast learner and for some not.
so what you need is correct ways to teach your rabbit, take a time to teach her and lastly be patient. All rabbit lovers are my friends but not all my friends are rabbit lovers |
