Handling my bunny
When I adopted my bun from the shelter, he was already 7 months old. I'm pretty sure his previous owners didn't handle him much, because he's not very fond of it now. I've heard that even older bunnies (I know 7 months isn't exactly "older" but he's definitely not a kit anymore) can learn to like being handled, but I'm having a difficult time. When he's out romping around my apartment, he'll come up to me and lick me a little, and let me pet him. But he gets terrified when I try to pick him up. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can go about getting him used to the idea of cuddling? Or is this a lost cause?

RE: Handling my bunny
Just pick him up and hold him against your body, petting him, very often. When lifting him up make sure to give his hindquarters support.

RE: Handling my bunny
I found that my rabbit would freak out when he was picked up unless his feet had support.
