i had 2 rex does in with each other and 1 rex has rex fur and the other has normal fur the other day i was looking in there cage and thought that the normal furred one was deciding to blow her coat but on closer examination i found that it looked like the other doe had been attacking her and eating her hair because her whole back has short hair and some little bite marks on her so she has now been seperated from her sister and i am wondering if i should take any further action in treatment or any thing she doesn\'t have open wounds or anything but why would a doe all of the sudden decided to hurt her sister even though i didn\'t see her show no aggression towards this doe the day before why did this happen and do i need to do anything else for the other doe

hi maybe you should take it to the vets just to make sure she/he is okay and maybe you should ask your vet what is happening what you could do about it and they might give you some useful info you could use later on
You didnt mention the age of your bunnys ,but what usually happens is when the rabbits become sexually mature they start too fight.bluebird
well they where born in late july so that would make them 4 months old
That\'s why they were fighting and the one that got hurt was just the lesser aggressive. They need(ed) to be separated, rabbits do that when they become sexualy matured regardless if they are litter mates or not. They get territorial and can very well hurt themselves -rabbits should be alone in their respective cage. Silly rabbits.
That\'s the problem that everytime I bring home a new rabbit hubby says \"guess we need another cage\"! He\'s finally catching on! LOL
Good luck with them now!
