Hello all

I have a question about gutting a pumpkin and if it is ok to give to rabbits?
I have read somewhere that rabbits are allowed to eat pumpkin, So I was wondering if it would be ok to give my rabbits the guts from a pumpkin that we will be carving out for Halloween and if so is there anything I should do first before giving it to my bunnies? Any help to my question would be more then helpful. Thanx

Pumpkin is good for rabbits.i never feed the guts but they could eat the cut out parts.bluebird
You could dry the seeds and feed those. Your rabbits will love the meat.

Now I don\'t feel so bad about spending so much on these 20 lb pumpkins the kids picked. Plus I get a chance to give a treat to my babies. Thanks for the info!
I know that feeding the pumpkin seeds to chickens is a natural dewormer -would it have the same effect on rabbits?
Pumpkin seeds work best against stomach worms, which are pretty rare in rabbits, but they certainly won\'t hurt. Again, think of them as a treat and don\'t overdo.
