My little rescued rabbit has the strangest inner eyelid thing. It only is noticable when the rabbit is picked up. About 1/3 of an inch of fatty looking skin with veins in it pops into the corner of the eye of both eyes and when you sit the rabbit back down it goes away after a minute or less. I tried a course of terramycin when I first rescued this rabbit just in case it was an infection and it didn\'t change anything. Her eyes are not red or irritated but this strange skin pops out everything she is picked up. Could this be some kind of birth defect or what?
I\'ve seen this in several rabbits. It looks to be part of the eye which tends to bulge somewhat when the rabbit is picked up, stressed, what have you. Doesn\'t seem to be a real problem, though.

That is what I thought. It seems to be part of her eye. She doesn\'t seem stressed out and I am very careful not to squeeze her when I pick her up. It\'s the strangest looking thing and in both eyes. She seems happy and has a nice appetite so whatever it is I guess she is ok! Thanks for replying!
