Hi. Do rabbits require any kind of salt lick or a mineral one? I never see them in cages but was just curious. Do any of you use them?
No, rabbits don\'t need them if you feed a balanced commercial ration. They might if you mixed your own feed, but I don\'t know why anyone would do that.
The other problem with salt/mineral spools, is that they carrode the wire of the cage.

well i was about to buy someof the salt rols for my rabbits but i cant afford to buy another cage lol. well im glad you ask that and im glad that you knew they did that thanks alot.
Salt Lick\'s are not Nessasary if your food pellts have salt, if they do not cheak with your vet.
