Just out of curiosity, if spinach (or any vegetable, for that matter) were to be infected with E. Coli, how would it affect our animals, if at all?

I heard they can get diarrhea from contaminated vedgies like the spinach and get dehydrated and die. I also heard that rabbits can be carriers of e. coli and that an outbreak can happen when a rabbit get a hair balls or a blockage in their system.
Rabbit feces can also contain e coli, so don\'t use rabbit waste in your vegetable garden until it has been composted.
