Woke up today hoping my rabbit would have her kits and nothing. I am new to this and thought bunnies kindled in the morning. Could somethig have happened?
when was she due i\'ve had bunnies have babies at night and during the day they really like to have them during the night or when its really quite
We\'ve had 4 litters so far and each was born at a different time of day. Waiting for them is the hardest part.

Good luck!
they were due today. Today was the 31st day. It is a long story but I just bought these bunnies from someone on Monday. She is a breeder that is selling out because of both medical conditions and due to the fact that her husband is highly allergic. So I am sure the bunnies have been under stress. She had one that she bred at the same time that gave birth today so I was hoping. Do you think that something could have gone wrong?
How old is the doe? What breed is she? Has she had litters before? I\'d wait until after day 35 just to be sure. Sometimes, if the litter is small, the doe will be late.

Without seeing the doe it would be impossible to tell what the problem is. Very possibly, the doe wasn\'t pregnant in the first place. Not every breeding results in pregnancy and there can be many reasons for this.

Has she made any preparations for a nest? If she pulled fur that is a good sign.
I\'ve had a rabbit give birth on a Sunday afternnon -although like it was mentioned most kindle when its quiet -early hours of the morning.
Do as Charlcie suggested maybe its not time yet. Smile
Maybe some details of your new doe would make it easier to have a beter idea.
I have two holland lops. They are third time mothers and they are both about a year and a half. I have two that were due Sunday. It is 5:00 AM Mon. morning and NO KITS yet. They were pregnant when they left the breeder last Mon. Can the babies die and self absorb?
One made a nest in the nest box and the other goes in the nest box occasionally. The one that only visits the nest box just lays around not doing much. Will get up to eat and drink but really just hangs/ The other one is very active. No hair pulling yet but I was told that the last time they had kits they did it 5 minutes before. How can I tell what is happening with them?
As long as you have a nest box in there and some straw or bedding -guess you\'ll have to wait and see. They won\'t kindle at the same time and they won\'t \'sit\' in the box waiting or have noticable labor. Rabbits are sneaky, won\'t make any noise and do that for a purpose so predators don\'t hear them.

Patience, my dear, patiece. Smile
I felt underneath one of the mothers the one that did not make a nest and...at least one is alive. I could feel it squirming through her tummy. So yes, I feel a little more comforted. Thank you for your replies. Will let everyone know what happens.
