Michigan will be bidding against California. From experience, they beat our bid for 2001, they put on a very good bid, used video and everything. But Chuck Pelham showed me the MI bid and it looks good too
Either will be fine with me, though CA is a little more convienent. Since our Wichita trip my wife wants nothing to do with travelling east, unless we fly

Oh yipes. I don\'t blame her. I\'m glad shes doing better though. I can\'t go to california, so I\'m crossing my fingers that we can get it up here where its driving distance for me. Ive heard we\'ve got a good chance of getting it. And if we do itll be less then 2 hours from where I live.

I am so happy it\'s in Texas next year! Indy is a bit of a drive for me.. but luckily my dad lives right outside Indianapolis, so I get to crash with him for a week and save on hotels, LOL.

Michigan\'s chances are about same as everyone elses\'s, just takes getting majority of votes from ARBA Board. But with the last convention on West Coast being back in 2001 and all since in mid west or at least middle of the country (Peoria, Wichita, Indy, Ft Worth) except one on East Coast (Providence) I\'m betting California gets it, all things being equal. the board tries to spread the convention sites around the country, if possible:
98 Portland, OR
99 Louisville, KY
00 Columbus, OH
01 San Diego, CA
02 Peoria, IL
03 Wichita, KS
04 Indianapolis, ID
05 Ft Worth, TX
06 ???????
Doesn\'t really matter to me, I\'ll go where ever it is. I\'m just glad we\'re not bidding anymore, I\'d rather travel to a convention than have all that work to put one on

I dunno. I heard michigan wouldve got it last year if they weren\'t held in the same tri-state area the year before. But we can cross our fingers and hope. And if we don\'t get this bid, try for the next one.
