i bought a tri rex up at my state fair and when i went to get her out of the cage to take her home she scrtched me and bit my hand i just thought it was nerves from the show its been a month since the show and she paces in her cage runs circles in it and when i go to feed her she bites my hand i love this bunny to death she is beautiful and wins at shows but i need to know how to stop this problem i\'m really worried that shes going to bite a judge or injure some one really bad
How old is she? Have you talked to the person you bought her from? I would talk to them and maybe they can swap bunnies or something. Especailly if you are younger and supposed to be handling the bunny at a show -I would think that you would prefer a less aggressive one?!
i don\'t really mind her being aggresive to me i\'m more worried about the judge i show cattle so a rabbit bite and scratch ain\'t nothing except for a sore scratched up arm i have talked to the lady for about 3 months before i bought the bunny i think its just her personality because i have another doe from the same breeder that i got at the same show and shes fun she licks my hand
i can\'t trade this doe she has already won a leg and has won alot of classes with her former owner and her class of 5 at state fair and shes only 6 months old i can\'t trade up such a nice rabbit i just hope she has a bit of angel inside her and i hope its not me thats making her upset
Maybe go slower to approach her in the cage. My one doe sometimes goes to bite. So now I calmy stroke her head first and talk to her before I reach in to pick her up.
What if you drape a towel over her head to pick her up is she still nippy? Is she that way when you are holding her or just when you go to pick her up. I didn\'t think that nippy rabbits were well received on the judges table. Do they overlook that for a goodlooking animal?
Maybe someone else will have a better suggestion than I.
when i go to feed her she attacks me shes not hard to catch at all its just grabbing her neck to get her out i\'m worried that when a judge goes to stick there hands in the cage to get her out she\'ll attack them i can\'t take her out of the cage with out holding her back legs and holding her to my chest i usually just have to hold them to to my chest but not her if i don\'t hold her back legs she goes ballistic she almost got away once
does any one have some help on how to tame down this bunny i need to know how i want a nice bunny not a bunny thats mean any way to tame her give her toys or what
How old is this doe? I had a Satin doe that was very irritable. I had a hunch she needed to be bred. Her attitude improved quite a bit after her first litter.
You are correct to be concerned about showing this doe. There is a real possibility of her being disqualified on the show table for being a vicious animal. This is totally a call by the judge. Some judges are quite lenient in overlooking certain negatives behaviors in rabbits on the show table. Others are much less tolerant.

i\'m going to see how she acts at her next show i really want to get her granded first
I recently aquired a buck that has never bitten me but he bit my neice when she tried too get him out of the cage.wear leather gloves if you need too.some does are cranky when they want bred.bluebird
She\'s being a hormonal, territorial woman- grand her out and then breed her- Judges are very adept at handling rabbits- I doubt she will hurt them- watch how they handle her- gloves scare the rabbitts even more- try a dark color sock or a tennis arm band- they are stretchy- I used to take a piece of plywood abut 8 x 12 and wedge the rabbit up against the side of the cage and then pick them up from behind- at the nape of the neck - then quickly snug them against your left side (if you are right handed )
