Every once in awhile Petey will get runny eyes. The last couple of days we have noticed a considerable amount of gunk coming from his eyes. He has no other noticeable problems, like sneezing, etc., so I am having a hard time finding anything health related on the internet. The only mention of runny eyes I am finding is pasturella, and he sure doesn\'t seem to have any other symptoms for that.

Could he be having a reaction to something? Should I be concerned? We usually just help him wipe it with a clean cloth.

If the eyes were exhibiting simply a watery discharge, you could suspect an allergy, but it sounds as though either a chronic allergy has turned into an infection or it is pasteurella. Pasturella doesn\'t necessarily exhibit respiratory symptoms, though this is the most common manifestation.
