Lately my pet rabblt has been making noises when me or my fiancee try to pick it up. Could it be afraid of us? It has been living with us for 2 months and it is just now making these noises. Also, when we take it out and ten try to put it away in its cage, it will try to bite us and scratch us with its claws. Why is the rabbit doing this??? Can anyone answer?

Hi, my bunnies have been making noises too, but not at me...

It may be it is b/c you are taking your bunny out of his/her home that he/she is making the noise. I know rabbits can be territorial. Maybe trying picking up your bunny when it isn\'t in the cage??? I hope this helps!
Sean & Steph,

Generally bunnies do not like to be picked up, they feel insecure and don\'t like heights so that is why your bunny is making noises, biting, and scratching. It is much better to be down on his or her level when giving them affection, playing, or returning them to their cage. He or she will be feel more secure and be more friendly. Be patient in can take a little while to earn their trust too. I have trained my rabbits to return to their cage by rewarding them. If you\'re interested in how to do this then E-mail me and I will share this technique with you.
