Since I\'ve found this wonderful discussion board I\'ve decided to post again due to the wonderful response I got.

Well anyways I\'m trying to train my little bunbun to go poops and peeps in a litter box. However I have not been 100% sucessful When I clean the box and its fresh she loves to do her business in it and I get so excited but then while eatting she\'ll poop where she is. Which I know is normal but still frustrating. Only because my friend who has a much older rabbit decided to train hers after she saw me try and hers picked it up in no time and even while eatting still manages to poo and pee all in the box!!! I read that older rabbits do catch on quicker though. I figured she wouldn\'t do her business if the box was dirty so instead of cleaning it every other day I clean it every day but no luck. However no matter where it is she WILL pee in it which makes y life so much easier when cleaning. I moved it right in front of her food dish so she could get the idea while she was eatting but then I think I may have confused her b/c then she did it where the box was. . . not to mention she loves to move the box herself when shes bored!!! Oh help!!!

I think your bunny is pretty well trained if she consistently pees in the box. Bunnies typically poop whenever and where ever they feel like it, at least a marble or two. If it is one consistent spot that she\'s pooping, you might want to put the box right there. Petey likes to poop right outside his cage on one particular side, so I started putting the box right there when he is out of the cage, and now he poops in the box!

Good point!! I actually tried that but then what happened is she pooped where the box used to be!!! haha not to mention shes actually pretty smart . . .b/c when I move the box what she\'ll do is move it back to where it belongs. . . .it never fails she does it everytime!!!

Where ever she puts the box -leave the box. Just like a rabbit in a cage they chose a corner and thats where they go. You may find that she uses it more if it is left where she ants not where you want it put.
