ok so this is gonna sound bizzarre, i got my new baby lionhead rabbit from a breeder a few weeks ago. after a few hours she had given me quite a scare, i honestly thought she was dead (thats the sort of luck i have!) anway, she turnt out to be ok. but now she is acting really strange, almost like she is getting ready to have babies. she is kept on her own with no contact with males. Is she old enough to be having babies (she was born may/june time) or am i just being paranoid as my kid sisters rabbits, who we were told were both girls have just had some? if it isn\'t this what else can it be? other than her wierd behaviour shes otherwise fine except for drinking loads. any help would be greatly recieved

You need to be more specific. What sort of \"weird\" behavior?

I agree with Charlcie -what exactly was she doing?

I know from my own experience with rabbits that smaller rabbits tend to be more jumpy and skiddish than larger aloof ones. When I got my Netherland Dwarf I watched her closely because her behavior was somewhat different than the larger New Zealands that I\'m used to. Not that it was \'bad\' behavior -just different. Actually -kinda cute! Smile
Unless she has diarrhea or is listless and droopy I can\'t imagine how much \'different\' she could be.
I know when I have a pregnant doe another doe closeby will carry straw around and dig more -is that what you mean? Is she mimicking maternal behavior -thats ok if she\'s a doe.
Is she shaking her head? Maybe she has ear mites? Check her out first and see if there is any \'reason\' for the difference in behavior.
She will have a round hard stomach if she\'s pregnant- she will carry bedding in her mouth (to build a nest) and she\'ll fur for the nest too- is she doing any of that-
