I have several flemish giants that have reoccuring scabby bare patches between their shoulders. Sometimes they heal up and the fur grows back, and it seems to be worse when they\'re molthing. I am worried this might be ringworm since it seems to spread, although I haven\'t noticed anything on myself since I handle them daily. The scabby bare patches are usually no bigger than a quarter. Any ideas?
This probably isn\'t ringworm, but it sounds like the scabs that form when the rabbit is scratching due to an infestation of fur mites.

You can give an injection of .10 cc ivermectin/lb. of body weight subcutaneously in the loose skin between the shoulders. A follow-up injection can be given in 1 week to 10 days. This should clear things up in short order.
