Hi, 2 of my 3 rabbits have this big pudge, or beard under their chin. What is it? Caused it? and will it go away. It\'s like they have their own built in pillow.

The \"neck roll\" is called a dewlap. It is much more pronounced in does. It is normal, so it won\'t be going away. Most breeds have a dewlap to some degree, but in a few it is a disqualification for the breed: Dwarf Hotot, Netherland Dwarf, Polish, Silver, and Tan.

Whew, thanks. I\'m glad to hear it is nothing serious. We went away for the weekend so I got self dispensing feeder and a couple extra water bottles and alphfa cubes. The one rabbit (which is a 1 year old) she had it before we left and the other, she is almost a year old had it when we came back. I thought it was a result of overeating and the third bunny is only 8 months old and she has yet to develope one. Here I invisioned all this food stored in that neck roll for secret snacking later!
