Today is Independence Day and neither my husband or I are working, so we got to sleep in. I knew it was Honey\'s due date and figured we would check things out before lunch. Only to have my DH come in from walking the dogs and tell me \"There are warm lumps in the nest box. Come see!\" I pulled on the clothes closest to the bed and headed out the back door. DH thought there were maybe 4, but when we started describing color patterens, we counted five. Once I downloaded the pics, we now count 6! This is Honey\'s first litter and all are alive and kicking! I can\'t wait to watch these little ones grow and develope their own personalities. Anyway, here\'s the first picture of our new little ones and picture of Honey too. Their dad, Thumper, is the rabbit I use as my avatar photo.

Congratulations! Big Grin

You know it\'s funny...I\'ve been raising rabbits for 42 years and I STILL get excited when I get a litter. I had a new litter of Mini Satins on Sunday (my granddaughter\'s birthday - guess I\'ll have to name one after her). I\'ll take some pics and upload to share.

A litter of 6 Holland Lops is a pretty big one. Smile

Okay...have to share our good news too. Our Havana had 2 kits a week ago (her last litter was 7, so we were surprised at only 2) and our mini-lop doe had 4 on the 3rd (her last litter was 10, so it was small too!). We\'ve only been at this a couple of years and are up very early on the due dates to check on the babies...Charlcie....glad to hear that we won\'t outgrow it! Smile
