Ok Blaze was found on April 25 and was approximently 3 to 5 days old I know they said they wean at about 8 weeks old he is eating solid foods and drinking water but still wants the formula he is drinking between 4 to 6 oz a day of the formula any ideas on weaning him or does he just like the formula cause it tastes better than pellets oats seeds and timothy hay
Actually, Blaze could have been weaned at about 1 month of age. He likes the formula, so will consume it as long as you provide it to him. To wean him, gradually phase out the formula. He\'ll eventually accept it.

He\'s such a brat I had to remove the dish I was feeding him from because he kept flipping it over and spilling his food out of it and chewing on the dish are there toys he can play with like wooden block type things I keep them on hand for my birds to play with
Wooden toys would be great. Anything that would be safe for your birds would be OK for Blaze. You can also give him small twigs and branches from your yard (just make sure to check toxity). If the wild rabbits chew it, it\'s OK for Blaze.
I would consider investing in either a heavy crock-type feeder or one that fastens securely to the cage. Even domestic rabbits will turn over their food dish if it\'s light enough. It\'s a rabbit thing...

You know, I\'m a little surprised at how strong our Petey is. He not only turns over dishes, removes attached toys from the cage, but he\'s now conquered the feeding bin which is heavy and attaches from the OUTSIDE of the cage. I guess overnight cage boredom sparks creative ideas for a little bunny...
He seems to do the majority of his feeding at nite except for his timothy hay and drinks a lot of water an 8 oz bottle usually has to be refilled every other day hes a very active little guy always running and hopping into his hay manger and on top of his little box cleans himself all the time its amazing how large his feet are when he spreads his toes lol
