It\'s been a little while, so I thought I\'d post some of the newest pics of my Mini Satins (from litters 7, 5, and 2 weeks-old)...

Oh, I like them! They are absolutely adorable. So compact.
I\'ll have to think about that for a future investment. LOL
Thanx for sharing.
Thanks. I have really been involved with the \"Big Guys\" (Satins), but was surprised how the Mini Satins grew on me. Smile

I enjoyed your pictures! I think it\'s amazing that you\'re working with a new breed. That\'s really cool! My children are always saying to me, \"What do you think we\'d get if we bred this breed of rabbit to that breed of rabbit?\" And of course, they want to try it to see what they\'d get. I tell them that they have to be very experienced to even begin doing stuff like that. So they\'re happy enough breeding Mini Rex to Mini Rex or Holland Lop to Holland Lop. But when I told them about you working on a new breed, they were very impressed. Good luck with them!

They are so cute! Do you plan to show any of those babies?
Yes, actually. I can\'t wait for them to hit the show table. Smile (Probably September or October)

Very nice I like the black
Thanks. Smile

I do too. I\'m anxious for the Blacks to be accepted.

If the answer is too invloved, just say so - but I was wondering how you train your rabbits to sit still on the show table. Mine are so active, I\'ve got no clue where to start! Also, what age do you start working with them for this? My buck Thumper is pleasant to work with and our baby Popcorn is young enough to train (just 2 months).

Thanks!
Well, actually, it\'s pretty simple. You just have to work with them. I take mine out starting about 2 to 3 weeks of age. I pose them just like they were show age. I do this frequently. You need to make sure that they \"set up\" correctly. Front toes even with the eyes. Rear toes even with the hip or stifle joint. We have an article on posing written by one of our Oregon rabbit judges on the Oregon League of Rabbit & Cavy Breeders Website. You might want to read it...

I will say that some rabbits are just ornery or go through an ornery stage. You just have to be patient and keep working with them.
