She isn\'t due untill June 8th. i am worried, but she will eat the hay i give her.
I know from palpating her that she is carrying at least 3 kits. this will be my first litter of lionheads.
How is your doe? A freind of mine reccomends giving 1/2 a tums when a pregnant doe stops eating. They always eat the tums.
It is important that this doe eat. At the very least, she could lose the litter. At the very worse you could lose the doe.

The Tums idea is good. Also, it could be necessary to give subcu injections of a glucose solution. But try this...

Get the doe out on the ground (preferably where she has access to some fresh green grass). Encourage her to hop about for about 15 to 20 minutes. Do this everyday for at least 3 days. I have been able to get does (any rabbit really) to start eating and on the road to recovery when I have done this.

When the doe starts eating again, give her a pinch of a high protein supplement (such as Animax, Manna Mar, Calf Manna, etc...) every day. Continue this throughout the nursing period.

Good luck. Smile

I did the same Charlcie- let them out for a while on the barn floor- after it was all raked and clean- and i offered them Grape vine leaves and apple tree leaves- they would always eat
