Hi All,
We\'ve just returned from our first \"major\" ARBA show which involved hauling 8 rabbits and a camper for the weekend. It was sooo much fun and we learned A LOT. In the process, we also aquired a new doe for our herd. She\'s about 10 weeks old and was the runt of the litter. She seems to have good type, but is a little lacking in flesh condition and is smaller than her litter mates. Anyway, we were advised to give her KMR (kitten milk replacement) to boost her growth and get her some extra vitamins and nutrition. I went to get some and discovered that it comes in liquid form and powder form. Does anyone have experience using KMR? Should we use the liquid? If so, how much and how often and for how long? Should we use the powder and just sprinkle it over her pellets? If so, how much and for how long?

Thanks!
Well...You can give KMR powder mixed with the food or top-dressed at the rate of 1 tsp powder per 5 lbs weight of the rabbit. It is a bit difficult to give that way though and probably even more difficult to give in liquid form unless you know your rabbit will really lap it up and not waste it.

There are a lot of rabbit supplements that would be much easier to give, in my opinion. You can feed a tsp of calf pellets (most feed companies have one).

I knew you\'d have some words of wisdom, Charlcie Smile When you say calf pellets, are you talking \"Calf Manna\"? What are some of the specific rabbit supplements that you would recommend? My choice of rabbit feeds around here is pretty limited.

Thanks,
Kelly
Calf Manna, Calf Maker, Animax, etc...Online you can get Doc\'s Rabbit Enhancer and Oxy-Gen (though this stuff is pretty darn pricey).

Hope this helps. Smile
