Well...I handle the kits from the day of birth. If you\'re talking about playing with them, that should come later. I handle the kits everyday. When the nest box comes out at 3 weeks, you can start holding and petting the kits for longer periods of time. Kits can be weaned between 5 and 6 weeks of age, but they are still \"delicate\", so no real active \"playing\" yet. Holding and petting for a few minutes each day is fine. By the time the bunny is about 2 months old, you can treat it as you would an older rabbit.
