Hi everyone! Yesterday at our local fair my son won this adorable rabbit. We have never had a rabbit before but we just love this little softie! He/She is very friendly..The man at the fair didn\'t tell us much about it. I\'ve read a lot today online about taking care of them..We are going to keep it in the house at all times. We let it run around the house a lot today but found out real quick that it likes to chew on wires, cables and my plants. We then put it in our dining room with a gate up where there are no wires or cables to chew on. It is so cute when it lays with our Pomeranian. I think it made the rabbit and dog happy to have each other! We have decided to fix up a dog cage we found at a rummage for $10 so we would have a place to put it in when we can\'t watch over it. Now I need to get to the pet store to find other \"goodies\" for her or him. I\'m sure it is a mixed breed, but anyone that thinks they might know what it is, feel free to tell me. I\'ve seen some pics of mini rex\'s online that look a lot like this one but really have no clue what it is. Also..Any name suggestions that would work for both a boy or a girl? I\'m new to this so I am hoping the picture shows up. If not I will try again. THANKS! [attachment=138]
Your new little bunny looks like a Mini Rex - Broken (Castor or Tort, hard to tell from the pic).

Have fun! Smile

i would suggest the name camoren or cam its a good boy girl name your bunny is adorable just watch him for any signs of a runny nose or slacking in his normal behavoir because alot of bunnys from the fair are sick i would get a poop sample from him and take it to the vet and check him for coccidiea
have fun
Oh how cute. He looks like a mini rex I used to have named Ginger. I LOVE rex rabbits so much.
He is a cute little one. Though I\'m partial to lops. Best wishes with the little one.
I won a rabbit at the fair once -long time ago! They stopped doing it because kids weren\'t asking their parents. (I was already a parent by then!)
He was a gray/white dutch markings I named Buster -and sweet. But you may want to have a vet check done on him just to be sure. And this way hopefully the vet can check the sex for you. Sometimes fair quality is more like \'culled\' quality and it\'s just another way for them to be rid of their unwanted stock.
Oh, and watch all your phone lines/computer lines -rabbits love to chew especially when you\'re not paying attention!
I wish you the best with him/her -rabbits do make great first time pets.
