[attachment=135]I just wanted to say that I have learned so much by reading alot of the threads here. Thank you all for sharing your stories so others can learn from them.

Anyways like I have said before....I have a male and female rabbits. Both were given to me when their previous owners didn\'t want them anymore. I am totally unsure what breeds they are. I tried doing a search but I really could tell.

Okay so I had the male fixed but didn\'t know that they were still potient for up to 6 weeks and I let them together for alittle while. He \"got\" her once before I could seperate them. So now there is a chance that she is pregnat. Now I am worried about them being different breeds and if she is pregnant then she might have a hard time with his babies. I am so upset about this and I don\'t want anything to happen to her. How big of a size difference between the breeds is too much? I am going to inclose a picture of the two together. I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback on what anyone might think. (Except for the fact that I was neglectful but i doubt anyone could make me feel any worse then I do already.)

Thanks in advance,
Megan, Sugar and Pipkin
(sugar...the female is the smaller all white one)
No guilt trip here. You did the right thing in getting him fixed. And you let two playmates spend time together, nothing wrong there either.
I\'m afraid I can\'t give you any info on their breeds or size problems of any babies. But I know there are those on this board that can.
Please don\'t be so hard on yourself. You gave two bunnies a good home when they needed one, took the appropriate measures to avoid a liter of kits and are being responsible in getting as much info as possible now.
Our thoughts are with the three of you.
As far as the rabbits go he looks like a mini rex, in the tri color(black, orange and white) coloration. She looks like a netherland dwarf in the ruby eyed white color. She is big for a netherland dwarf, if that is what she is? At her size if she is pregnant she may have a little problem passing the babies but most likely won\'t, just on day 31 just make sure you keep an eye on her. If she sits and strains a lot for hours than she is having problems. You will be able to tell by her body language also. Don\'t dog yourself because accidents do happen. Just keep an eye out for her and keep us posted. Tony Artist, Artist Rabbitry, South Bend, IN
Thank you...THank you!!

I thought that they were a some kind of rex and dwarf netherland as well. The white female does actually have blue eyes. Does that make any difference? I will be keeping a close eye on her.

The blue eyes won\'t make a difference other than she looks to be a Blue-eyed White (BEW) Netherland (possibly Polish) cross or an extra large Netherland. For that reason, I think the kits will be OK size-wise. If she does have a litter you can expect some interesting colors combining the Harlequin and Vienna genes...

I agree with the previous answer. She is just the blue eyed version. I also was wondering about the polish variety for her as well? Those babies will be a sight to see. : ) Keep us posted on them and when it happens. Tony Artist, Artist Rabbitry in South Bend, IN.
Hi!
Do you know how old she is? If she is able to be at the spay age, you could get an emergancy spay. It\'s sort of like an abortion in human cases. This early on, I don\'t think it would matter, and I\'ve heard that you can do it up to three weeks (or so I\'ve heard). Just an option to keep open.

Just keep a close eye on her if you choose not to do the spay. Watch her carefully. If she seems to be passing blood, with no kits around 28-31 days of pregnancy with no kits then you might need the help of a rabbit savvy vet.
Accidents happen, so don\'t feel to bad! Smile
She looks like a Polish doe.you might call your vet they might do a spay even if shes bred.she could have trouble.bluebird
