Ok I have been taking care of this bunny for 3 weeks today making him approxiamately 3 and a half weeks old maybe 4 weeks old he loves nibbling on carrot is trying pellets but still wants to eat the formula many times a day not just twice a day as was suggested I have placed him in a bird cage with alfalfa hay under him with a small box inside for sleeping or whatever When do I hang a water bottle? Oh hes eating about 3 oz of formula a day as well as a handful of pellets and 1 baby carrot
Our baby was a month old yeterday and just started to drink from the water bottle. She still prefers mom, but is checking out that bottle now too. But she doesn\'t seem to care for carrots at all. Though I only usually offer them about once a week.
Offer the water so he can drink at will. He will drink as much water as is needed.
Are you sure your bunny is consuming 3 oz of formula per day? That\'s 90 cc\'s! 13-15 cc\'s is the average per feeding for a bunny 3-6 weeks old.
At any rate, it sounds like your bunny is doing GREAT! You can wean him totally from the formula in a week to 10 days.

Yes I am sure hes consuming 3 Oz it\'s maked on the side of the dish I use to feed him out of he\'s a very fat little thing now and very impatient between the fillings of the syringe I use lol he actually tries to follow it from his mouth to the dish lol I also contacted the game warden and he said since the bunny has been around my dogs and cat it wouldn\'t be safe to release him and as long as I am prepared to take care of him properly he didn\'t see any problem with our keeping him he was actually suprised that he didn\'t die from shock over the dog disturbing the nest and killing the other 2 kits in the nest still boggles the mind as to why she left 1 alive this time he said he will stop by from time to time to check on the bunny to to make sure he is getting the proper care Thank you guys so much for all the assistance in the first couple of weekds with him
Well, it sounds like things are well in hand. Good luck with your new member of the family. Can you take digital pics of him and put it on the board?

Sounds like you are \"hooked\" and in love. I, too, would love to see pics of the little guy!
I sent in a picture of him about 2 weeks old to the gallery
Under what name so I can find him? Or can you upload here too?
its from prettybaby6899@hotmail.com and the listing was my rescue how do I upload here and I will post 1 here
Oh I also have a question about the cage right now he is in my hospital bird cage (I raise cockatiels and keep a small cage in case 1 of the birds gets hurt or sick)since his feet are so tiny I have put hay in the bottom of the cage rather than removing the grate should I remove the grate and just use the aspen bedding in the bottom of the cage or how does that work (my lop eared rabbits when I was younger were outdoors in the large cages with hutches so this question didn\'t arise) Since I do get to keep him we will see about a larger cage or a real cage cage for him since I am looking for some rabbits here for my son to show in 4-H anyways I live in Tx the summers are hot and winters are usually mild but I have a barn they can go in during the winter along with lots of hay available and nice shady spots for the cages during summer
