Hello again,

My little guy is doing great and is now about 6 weeks old. He has over doubled in size since I got him when he was 4 weeks old. I have 2 questions...the first one is...I have been giving him a decent hand full of Timothy Hay daily and he eats it all up very quickly, should I give him more throughout the day or just continue once daily? Also, he is doing great using his litterbox and that\'s the only place he pees, but he poops in and out of the litterbox, is this normal? Do rabbits usually poop all around their cages?

Thanks for the help.

Heather and Hoppitty
Heather:

Hoppitty should have as much Timothy (mixed) hay as he wants whenever he wants it! Its good for him! I keep a hay manger full for Petey. It was like $2 at the pet store and it attaches to the outside of his cage so he can sit in his cage and pull the hay through it-- keeps the cage cleaner.

As far as the pooping goes, although neutering did help, Petey STILL poops occasionally outside of his cage. Not a lot, but occasionally I will find a few pebbles, mostly right outside of his cage or in the same spot in another room. Don\'t know why unless he is still marking his territory .... but I\'m sure its pretty normal.
normally a rabbit poos where ever it wants. my rabbit does everything potty wise in the box. She\'s the cleanest rabbit I\'ve ever seen. I hope her babies will be like that.
