Sorry if this is a stupid question, I\'m new to showing.
Is a fryer (I\'m guessing there\'d showed singularly?) like the meat pens in FFA?
Any other tips with regards to showing? I\'m going to a show May 20th to watch, and my first show is in September.

A \'Fryer\' is a young commercial-type rabbit between 56 and 70 days of age and 3-5 lbs. in weight. Fryers can be shown singly or as a Fryer or Meat Pen (pen of 3).
You\'re looking at the same criteria in 4-H as you would in FFA. In a pen, judging is based on 4 factors: Meat Type, Condition, Uniformity, and Fur. (40, 30, 20, & 10 points each respectively, for a total of 100.) Single Fryers have the same age and weight range and are judged on: Meat Type (45 pts), Condition (35 pts), & Fur (20 pts).
Most 4-H members choose another rabbit for showmanship classes, but there is nothing that says you can\'t use one of your fryers. In showmanship, you are judged on how YOU look (poise, confidence, etc.), your handling and posing of the rabbit, and your knowledge both of your particular rabbit and rabbits in general.
You\'ll get a lot of good information when you observe the show on the 20th. Good luck!
