hi everyone!
i have a female rabbit which is almost 2 years old..
i only have this rabbit and never intended to have it \"mate\" or meet other rabbits so its furtile.
i left it to my grandmothers for 6 days when i was away on a journey and my cousin left her out to play with his friends male rabbit!!...well i need help if you know..is it too easy to get pregnant?i know it only happend once and my cousin said when he saw too much \"action\" he took her away..
i have NO knowledge on the subject!
Could she be pregnant?
How long does a pregnancy last?
is it dangerous for her to carry babies?
Will she be ok?!!?.. ANY Info would be great!!
i m planing a trip to the vet,it just happend thow and if you know..pls dont keep me waiting..

This \"action\"...did it involve the buck falling over backwards or onto his side? (Whem mating has occurred, this is what happens.) If mating did occur, it only takes once.

2 years old is a bit old for a doe to start her motherly career, but it is impossible for me to tell you if she is pregnant or not. I always palpate (feel the abdomen) of my does 10-14 days after breeding to determine if there are developing embryos inside. I would hope a vet could help you out there if you don\'t know an experienced rabbit raiser. Not every mating results in pregnancy. If your doe was bred and conceived, it takes about 31 days for the doe to kindle (give birth). She needs a nest box provided on day 28, that is well bedded with shavings and straw or grass hay. If the doe is pregnant she should dig out a nest, pull fur from her body, and mix it with the bedding.

It is impossible to predict the outcome for your doe. Even young does can have problems carrying a litter. I wish you and your rabbit luck.
