Hi!
I just had my 10 month old Nietherland Dwarf girl fixed. Actually fixed got her teeth. Vet said that her back ones overgrew her mouth, and so she stoped eating, which is deadly to rabbits.
Operation didn\'t take long but cost a good chunk of money. Does anybody has a rabbit with a same problem? I\'m just wondering how bad can it get....
HI, First I\'m sorry about your bunny

malconclusion is never a fun thing to deal with but in dwarfs there is alot of it. If its her front teeth you can learn to clip them yourself to keep her comfy but if its the back molars that are the issue that pretty much will be a vet trip and expense every 4 to 6 weeks. Teeth issues come from a couple diffrent sources Mostly its due to poor genetics and the breeder using bunnies that either carry the problem or show it themselfs. Sometimes though bunnies being the naughty lil buggers they can be will chew on the wire and pull teeth out of alignment or do the fAMOUS dash for freedom and knock out a tooth ugh!!!!! good luck with your bunny and if you have anymore questions feel free to email me

Where did you get the bunny? Sounds like she was a breeders reject or they didn\'t know- sold her too young before it became a problem- If its the back teeth I would replace her with a healthier rabbit- vets will charge you a lot of money for problems when the rabbit should have been culled by the breeder
I have been raising Netherland dwarfs over 20 years and they dont get mallaclusion anymore than other breeds.however Holland lops which i also raise have more cases of it than any breed i have raised. The teeth can get soo bad they cant eat.bluebird
