Ms. Christie\'s poop is furry. I have tried brushing her before but I don\'t get any fur. I know it is normal for a few furry poops, but just yesterday I noticed that almost all her poop has fur in it. What should I do about this? Should I see the vet, I\'ve heard this can be a problem...
Does Ms. Christie get grass hay as a regular part of her diet? If not, this would be a good idea. Also, as a means of prevention, you can try giving her a papaya enzyme tablet each day for the next week.
The key is that your rabbit is eating well. If too much hair gets inside the digestive tract, a blockage can form. If her appetite is good, she is probably alright, but keep an eye on her food intake. Should a blockage occur,
Petromalt (cat furball remedy), is an appropriate treatment. I wouldn\'t give it, however, unless you actually notice a significant drop in appetite.
Good luck.

Thanks. She seems to be eating fine. I have hay for her to eat, but she doesnt seem to eat it at all, but it is there for her to have if she wants it. It was pre packaged from a pet store though, so once I get home to the country for some fresh stuff I will bring some back for her. I also bought a brush with soft bristles for her so I can get some of the excess fur.
