Every spring when I see rabbit fur blowing in the yard, I always just assumed that maybe a cat/dog got into a nest of bunnies. Now after a year on this discussion board, I am wondering if maybe I am just seeing pulled fur leftover from a cottontail\'s nest!!

Does that sound more like it? I would be much happier thinking that its just old \"bedding\" rather than leftover from a predator\'s lunch.

The kids spotted a big ball of fur blowing around near the bushes today, and I was just curious.

You can examine the hair you are seeing and should be able to tell If it was left-over nesting material or where something has attacked a rabbit.
