Hi everyone,
I have a one year old Holland lop and I\'ve just noticed he he a small bald spot on his back (just above his tail) about the size of a half-dollar and there are black spots on his skin where it\'s bald. He doesn\'t seem to be acting any different than usual but I\'m not sure what this spot is and I\'m a little concerned. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.
The small black spots..do they move? could it be fleas or fur mites?
I have a three and a half year old mini lop. I noticed that he had a couple of bald patches on his back. It was also a bit flakey.

I took him to the vet a couple of weeks ago and she said it was an allergy, and might be mites. The mites she said every rabbit has and are micro small. She said you can not see them with the naked eye. She also said that depending on the environment. So some rabbits will get and some will not.

She gave him a jag on the back of the neck and to bring him back next week. So I did. Then she gave him another jag and told me to bring him back the following week again for a third jag. So I did. Just this week was this third jag and he is looking better than ever. I have to take him back in a fortnight for a check up.

The jags are not expensive. It only cost me a couple of pounds, and it is worth every penny so that I do not see my bunny ill.
