Our Midnight is due to deliver her kits this Saturday (hopefully) and as you can imagine she has gotten quite round. Her hutch is in the hallway of our apartment and she gets to watch everyone come and go. This afternoon when my husband came home for lunch, Midnight met him at the door. It seems when we fed her this morning, we didn\'t latch the cage properly and she took full advantage of it. Once my husband greeted her and she got some love, Midnight hopped right back into her cage. We just don;t know how long she was out for. Just thought I\'d share!Toungue
LOL. Everyone needs a little adventure in their life... Big Grin

Oh I bet she enjoyed her freedom! If she\'s like Petey, she\'ll be EXPECTING it again tomorrow! ...

Can\'t wait to hear about the kits..
Cute story! Are you sure you didn\'t latch the cage properly? Maybe she used to work with a magician like Houdini in a previous life! Put a top hat on the floor and see if she hides inside! LOL
Haha! We had a doe that got out of her hutch and broke into one of our buck\'s hutches. They were both looking quite smug about it when we found them and then 31 days later....\"mutt bunnies\"! They were pretty darn cute though. We have obviously reinforced things to prevent a reoccurance! I\'m glad to hear we aren\'t the only one\'s with Houdini\'s Smile
I\'m fairly sure we didn\'t latch it right. My husband put the latch on the hutch in a way she really couldn\'t get to it. We use to have parrots and they really are escape artisits! She behaved herself today and my husband rewarded her with some cuddling and extra love. It\'s amazing that he is the one who really didn\'t want any more pets and yet she has him wrapped around her little foot.
