I need help guys...!
I have 4 rabbits ... I bought them last month
the problem is.... they\'re always shy & afraid
any special way to make them get used to me?
Part of the problem is the personality of the rabbits part upbringing.seperate the rabbits, rabbits that have other rabbits are less interested in people,bribe them with treats.this could take some time possibly months.patience.pick them up to get them used to it.then reward witrh a treat.bluebird
Start slowly. At first i thought my rabbit was afraid. I bought him a couple of toy and spent some time with him on the living room floor, showing him his toys and giving him cuddles on the floor. I think this showed him i was wanting to be friends with him. Now he runs after me and follows me about the house.
How old are they? -sometimes older ones have a harder time \'adusting\' to attention they are not used to. When I get a new rabbit I hold him alot, carry him around, let him run around -and definately do like bouncer said, make sure they are separated. Kind of like in a dog pack where all the dogs will act like dogs but if you take one dog out he will thrive on your attention alone- and lose some of that pack instinct.
Rabbits are solitary animals and are better off getting used to being alone and depending on you more. Try treats like cheerios, bread and crackers -do not replace their diet with goodies then they become useless.
