Help! Have just discovered four new born baby bunnies!! Mum seems to be looking after them, but its so cold outside, will they be ok? I\'m new to all this and would really appreciate some help!
Are they in a nest box and did the mother pull fur to make a nest? Bunnies become hypothermic very quickly if they are not nestled in a well-made nest. If the bunnies are snuggled in and covered with fur, they should be OK as long as mom feeds them. If not, you\'ll have to come up with an alternative very quickly.

I never cease to be amazed at nature working! We\'ve had 2 litters of kits born here in the Northern Rockies this winter and they\'ve done just fine. The key is to provide LOTS of hay and straw for the doe to literally burrow into and build her nest. She will completely cover the opening to the nest box and I know we were worried that they kits would suffocate, but we\'ve got 15 happy, healthy bunnies. I\'d say let Mum do her thing and try not to interfere...I think that\'s where we get into trouble is when we try to \"overmanage\" what they do naturally.
as long as mum has covered them over properly if not put a bit of her pulled fur over them are some hay i did this when my doe had her first litter and they were fine
