I\'ve got a goofy question. Mischief will be 2 months on 12/30, both parents are lops with their beautiful long ears. But as of yet her ears still stand straight up. When will they begin to droop? Does it happen all at once or over time?
Thanks for the help.

Little Lop bunnies often take some time for their ears to properly lop. However, the degree that they will ultimately fall depends on how the ears set on the head. In a rabbit show, lop breeds are faulted for ears carried horizontally (airplane ears) and are disqualified if the ears are carried \"above horizontal\". Fortunately, for pet bunnies, ear carriage isn\'t of much consequence, so whether or not Mischeif\'s ears eventually \"lop\", I sure she\'ll be a great member of the family.

We got our lop when he was 7 wks old and he had one ear that would lay opposite it was supposed to at first. Eventually, it just stuck straight out sideways!!! that was pretty funny! Around 9 or 10 weeks it went to normal.
Mischief is adorable, and it seems her ears get longer every day! hehe
She is a wonderful addition to the family. If you\'ve seen any of my previous posts, you know she is our splay legged baby. She spends plenty of time with us and is spoiled rotten. Thanks for the info!
Usually the ears are down by three months if they arent down by then they usually dont go down.bluebird
