First of all, Petey has been litter trained for months, but in the last week, he has been pooping outside the cage! He still poops inside, but why all the sudden would he be going on the carpet and bed? Weird!

Secondly, now that the trees are bare of leaves where we live, is there a leafy vegetable I can buy at the grocery that he can nibble on? I\'m still confused as to how much extra \"treat\" type of things he can have. The vet seemed to suggest that treats are supplemental to his pellet diet and that its okay to give him treats in moderation. I give him about 4 of the little nibbly carrots a day and a small handful of raisins too. Also, occasionally he will get a nutra puff for a goody. Too much? Will these treats make him fat once he is neutered?

He is 6 months old and weighs about 4 or 5 pounds. The vet indicated he was fine for his age/size.

Thank you for any input, as usual!
Petey has hit that age (5-6 months) when the hormones really kick in. Rabbits not only use urine to mark their territory, but their little \"marbles\" as well. Sounds like Petey is broadening his horizons...neutering should help.

Spinach is a good veggie in moderation. Almost any dark, green leafy vegetable is good as are slices of apple, banana, whatever... Just keep in mind these are TREATS. A good rule of thumb is to give no more per day than what your rabbit can consume in 10 minutes. You can offer a good grass or Timothy hay free-choice.

A fat rabbit is never a healthy rabbit, so limit feed the pellets and the goodies and let Petey have plenty of excercise. He should be fine. Smile
