I was reading the prior posts about bedding, and I am wondering about the brand I\'ve been using. The company is called AlfaPet and the bedding is \"wood shavings with chloraphyll pellets\". Supposedly its so good at controlling odor its patented! And they claim that since chloraphyll is natural its okay for rabbits to munch on the shavings.

Any thoughts on shavings with this chloraphyll? I\'m having a hard time finding aspen at Walmart, etc. I\'ll have to check the local feed store.
There is nothing harmful in chlorophyll per se. It is a plant pigment and is harmless. I would just check on the type of wood they use, but I doubt, if it was cedar, that your rabbit would be inclined to nibble on it.
