My daughter has a darling white lop that she will be showing in 4-H next month. I don\'t know how best to make her really white. She has tinges of yellow on her coat. I have given her one bath, but don\'t want to stress her by doing that again anytime soon. Does anyone know how to safely get white rabbits really white?
I have used the tear stain remover that they sell for use in dogs with some success.

Others have used peroxide and cornstarch. The key is not to overdo as to frequent washing or stain removal treatments will remove the oils from the coat.

Does the bunny have a solid floor in her cage? I recommend wire, but the wire has to be clean also, as this will stain the coat.

Thanks for the suggestions. I\'m only concerned with getting her to look good for the fair, then she can be left alone about it until next year. I recently switched her to a wire cage because of the clean fur issue. I\'m hoping once she\'s clean it will be easier to keep her that way.
Just one more thing...

If the bunny is going to fair, make sure you don\'t wash her (if necessary) any closer to 1 month before the show. The bath will remove the necessary oils from her coat and she will look terrible at showtime.
