hi, i\'m new to the group. I have a dwarf rabbit that appears to have stopped eating, drinking and using the bathroom. He\'s still responsive, appears to sleep alot and doesn\'t move aroung much. The other rabbit in the pen is acting normally. Any ideas of what might have brought this on or should I head to the vet immediately?
Sounds like a blockage...fur block is very likely the culprit. I have had success giving Petromalt (cat furball remedy). Will he eat any hay? If he\'s not too far in the progression of the problem, that could help as well as letting him run on the ground. (Excercise helps get things \"moving\".) Don\'t wait too long, however. If he\'s not drinking that is a REAL PROBLEM. Because of higher summer temps and greater chance for complications, it would probably be prudent to get your bunny to the vet.

He\'s moving around more and I saw him drinking some water and even eating a little bit. Where could I get the Petromalt, from a pet store? Thanks again for your help!
I was usually able to get mine at the grocery store, but I\'m sure a pet supply store would carry it (or a similar brand).

Personally if you don\'t know what is wrong I would locate a rabbit savy vet in your area, and have him/her lok at your bun. rabbit illnesses can be very deadly for your pet bunny. Especailly if you have no experience with them. What you describe could be anything from an intestinal bacteria infection to blockage. Alot of bunny ailments can be helped with a little extra help. You might have to pay in. But thats part of having rabbits and is well worth it.
hi there i,d personally get it to the vet i lost my first rabbit the same way it sounds to me there is a small blockage there
