Doesn\'t anyone have any ideas on how to make my bunnies want to be held.....or cuddled.....i\'ve tried laying in the floor with them....and not trying to rub or touch them....hoping they would just want to be close to me but that didn\'t help........Ideas please......RavenShy
Well when you hold a rabbit you have to make him feel safe in your hands. You put your hands around there hind legs. Then you must hold him close to your body with your hand on his back. If he is frightened talk to him.If you are doing this right he will get used to you.

I have done all that ...i\'m a vet tech.......just having problems with these netherland dwarfs Raven
I don\'t know if its the breed of bunny.....but I talk at a whisper never pick them up without rubbing them first....and always hold them correctly.....still they want to be let down in a matter of mins.. They are Netherland dwarfs.....does anyone know if this breed doesn\'t like to be cuddled Raven
Raven, have you tried bribing her? Sounds silly but it worked for us. We have two Netherland Dwarf mixes and they hated being held. When we did pick them up we gave them really small amounts of romaine lettuce or dandelion leaves. They love these and soon associated being picked up with good things. After a few days we saw an improvement. They didn\'t mind being held as much.

Thank You for the reply and yes have tried that too.........I got on another web site and it said most bunnies don\'t like being held...but will sit beside you while you rub them.........I guess I just want to cuddle them because they\'re so soft....!Cool
