3 babies found in yard. mom found dead. trying to nurse them but 2 of 3 have died. last one isvery lethargic.they\'ve been kept warm and fed a mixture of condensed milk and other things that were recomended on rabbit web. came back after gone for 3 hours and 2nd of 3 was dead. we had changed grass incage and fed them before leaving. does anyone have any ideas?
It is very hard to take care of wild bunnies and have a successful outcome. If you found the mother dead in your yard, did she appear to have been killed? If not, it is possible that she ate something toxic that was passed on to the babies before she died. I would feel good that you did a good thing in trying to save these babies but I would not get my hopes up for the last one. Sometimes despite our best efforts, the stress and trauma are just too much for the little ones to come through. I do wish you the best of luck though.
