Hi everyone~

My bunny cries and when she does, it\'s only in the right eye. It seems there\'s nothing wrong with her right eye. Except the tears, there is no difference in between her right eye and left eye.

I am concerned that it\'s emotional. Because she didn\'t cry when my husband and I were present in the livingroom with her but when we left to the bedroom, a little later, she followed us and we found tears in her right eye. Right away, she stopped crying. But when we put her back to her cage, her right eye produced tears again.

It is true that her bond with us has become stronger recently -- we adopted her last year from a shelter and she started to lick us since March -- however, it is strange to see her behaving like this.

Is there anybody with a similiar experience?
I don\'t mean to burst your bubble but I don\'t believe your rabbit is crying - she is exhibiting a weepy eye which is usually caused by an irritant or infection of some sort. It can be caused by dust in her environment, a reaction to the litter you are using, a fan in her vacinity blowing a breeze past her, a problem with her teeth, pasturella ect... - there are all sorts of things that can cause a rabbit\'s eye to weep. Keep it washed out and maybe go get an opthomolic eye ointment if it doesn\'t get any better.
