I was driving to pick up a friend\'s bunny as she is moving to the mainland(I\'m in HI) when I saw some kids chasing a poor bunny on the side of the road. I told the kids to stop and we surrounded him and moved slowly onto him and caught him a lot nicer. Anyways, he smells bad and from what I have heard through the grape vine, someone turned him and another bunny loose 7 months ago. I didn\'t see the other. Neadless to say, I came back home with 2 bunnies instead of one. He is extremely urine stained and I tried kitten tear free shampoo, but it didn\'t help much. He is also very thin. Any ideahs on how to get the smell and stains out and also put some weight back on him? I\'m going to try and attach a pic of both he and Starbucks(my friend\'s rabbit). BTW, you\'d call the rescue bunny a chinchilla colored right? He looks Netherland dwarf mini rex mix to me. Anyone else have some imput on his breed? What color is the lop? You wouldn\'t call it calico, would you?
go to petsmart petco or any pet store and get rabbit shampo because that works better u can also brush them that will help. Also give them treats and alot of food hay and vegies and that will put some weight on them.
We don\'t have a petsmart or petco here, but I can check another store. Most go to Walmart as there really aren\'t any nice petstores here, hope they carry it. She\'s gotten carrots and spinach so far, I\'m hoping it will tame her a bit too. Thanks for the help.
Hi,
I just wanted to let you know I ran across a wonderful website that specializes in homeopathic remedies for rabbits. I\'m sure they could help you out. My poor rabbit was bitten in the ear by my cat and it was very infected. I had never dealt with anything like it before. After two trips to the vet and 17 days of antibiotics, it still wasn\'t totally cleared up. I wanted to try something different so I ordered two of their remedies and they worked wonderfully. They have remedies for almost anything you can think of. Very knowledgable and helpful too. The website is
