my rabbit just died in the morning. she is 4 years old and i don\'t know the reason of her death.

i suspect someone had poison her.
she was fine all the while and suddenly passed away.

is there a way to know the cause of death from the way she died?
my rabbit\'s eyes were open and her legs are straight standing position but she was lying down. and her body was abit bloated.

i am very disturbed by the sight. does all rabbit die like this?
Can you take her to the vet and have an autopsy done?
i dun want to go to the extend. i wsa thinking if there is anyway to know
Most likely, from what you described, it sounds like your bunny had a heart attack. Did she live outside? inside?

If it was a heart related problem, there is nothing you could of done about it. I highly doubt someone poisoned your bunny, unless you can think of someone who thought they had a reason to. And if it was posion, it might of been a plant that she got into on her own and ate. You have to be really careful with what you give your rabbits access to. Bloat could also be a process of her body decomp. I\'ve seen it in heart attack deaths before.

Sorry to hear about your bunny!

Although 4 years of age isn\'t old for a rabbit, it is middle age. It could be that as in humans and other animals, some just don\'t live as long as others. There could have been a stroke or a sudden scare that caused a heart attack. How was her eating and potty habits in the days before she died? Was she eating and eliminating normally. It is so hard to know with the limited facts you provided but if you cannot pinpoint any sort of differance in her habits or health, it could be that it was just her time.
