Full Version: just moved drove 1800 miles bunny not eating,help

hi im new here im the owner of a 2 yr old dwarf rabbit,just recently went in for clean bill of health,we left may 2 for florida a move,bun bun my rabbits name was placed in a big comfy cage food water,kept cool etc,when i got to fla i cleaned cage plenty of poops and pea,but its been 2 days since here she is drinking and peeing but no food no poop even tried feeding her fav cookies cereaql lil pc candy bar just tiny pcs of course as usual.is she depressed? i have to say she has been for 2 yrs cage free as she was is my house pet,she slept in shed and used her cage only for feeding bathroom use and drinking..now she is not eating i love my bunny very much and am scared shes going to die,,how do i get her to eat? im going out tommorrow and getting one of those fences that they canb run around in that may help please any ideas? is she depressed? in shock? what ca i do sorry so long but bun bun is so dear to me,,thank you
I think Bun Bun is not eating and drinking well because she is feeling upset and insecured. Being in constant movement in a vehicle, locked in a cage and an entirely new environment is frightening to any rabbit. Rabbits generally do not adapt to changes very well.

Did you get the fences for Bun Bun to run within? Has she started to eat and passed stools normally? Please give Bun Bun lots of hay to eat. The hay will help get her intestines moving again.

Please let me know how is Bun Bun.
